  • Glass: clear, green, and brown
  • Metal: aluminum and steel cans
  • Plastic bottles, jars and jugs #1-7: plastics must have a screw-on top or be bottle-shaped with a neck that is smaller than the base. (No egg cartons, plastic bags, yogurt/sour cream/butter tubs or other food containers that do not have a screw-on top and are not shaped like a bottle.)

FORT JACKSON
On Lee Road, off Imboden Road/Forest Drive
***Enter the Fort through the Forest Drive entrance; you will be required to show ALL of the following documents to enter: valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and current automobile registration.

  • Mixed Paper: office paper, newspapers, magazines, phonebooks (NO  tissue, foil, or food contaminated paper)
  • Cardboard: corrugated, chipboard, wetpack, clean milk/juice cartons, paper cans with metal ends (NO waxed cardboard)
  • Glass: clear, green, and brown containers (NO cups, plates, windows, mirrors etc)
  • Metal Cans and Lids: aluminum, steel, and aerosol (NO other metals)
  • Plastics #1-7:  all clean bottles, jugs, food containers, buckets, flower pots (NO styrofoam, plastic bags, metal handles)

As of October 2012 Sonoco Recycling no longer offers shredding/secure material destruction services.
